The team behind Cantina Royale, a free-to-play arena shooter, has announced a 1 million $CRT prize pool for the upcoming beta version, while also releasing a sneak peek of gameplay ahead of the game’s August 8th open beta launch.
These tokens will be given out during this beta period that is set to last until sometime in October this year. By simply playing the game and taking part in various contests and events, players will be able to get a piece of the reward pool, with more details on how the play-to-earn system will work set to be revealed during the beta. Specifically, some of the activities that reward players with the game’s token include ranking high enough in a leaderboard, the number of matches played, taking part in daily and weekly events, providing constructive feedback to the developers and more.
This reward pool however requires players to own a Space Ape NFT in order to earn from it, though bug bounty rewards are applicable for both owners of the NFT and holders of the $CRT cryptocurrency.
In the sneak peek we get to see some isometric shooter gameplay, with 4 players battling it out in the free-for-all game mode, where the player who has the highest amount of kills wins the match. At the beginning of the match players get to pick their Space Ape character as well as their weapon loadout. You can check out the gameplay video right here down below.
