After enabling $BLOKN claiming earlier this month, the team behind the Bloktopia metaverse has now published their 2024 roadmap that is divided into 4 sections: what’s released so far, features in final testing, features in development but close to final testing, and a section featuring milestones planned for the long term. No specific timeframes have been given in any section.

Features in Final Testing

When it comes to developments in final testing, the developers have revealed that some of the milestones set to soon be completed include play-to-earn arcade games, crypto stores, crypto partners event, a BLOK Buster quiz, RSS feeds and social media integrations, including X/Twitter, YouTube and Twitch. There will be a global gaming leaderboard for arcade games, DAO voting directly in the metaverse, as well as a Virtual Headquarters for Tier 1 crypto partners and more. As for plans outside the metaverse, they include integrating $BLOK on the Arbitrum chain, launching a new cloud-based streaming provider to make the metaverse more accessible, and more.

In Development

According to the roadmap, more play-to-earn games are in development, and so are crypto ATMs that will be usable with fiat. Avatar NFT clothing is on its way, with various new use cases for $BLOK also planned in an effort to expand utility. Some of the use cases include using $BLOK in play-to-earn games, staking in the metaverse, trading within virtual HQs, and more.

What’s To Come

When it comes to long-term milestones, the team has revealed that they plan on introducing Private Rooms, which are apartments in the metaverse that users will be able to customize as well as socialize in. With that said, a friend system is also planned to enable easier social interaction, and so are AI features that include AI-powered audio and text translation.
