Bit Hotel, a 2D social metaverse, has partnered with Ultra, a Steam-like blockchain gaming platform, to reveal two new NFTs.
These NFTs, called William Skull and Brook Soul, are Ultra-themed Bit Hotel guests that users will be able to purchase on the Uniq Marketplace on November 30 at 4 PM UTC. The Uniq Marketplace is Ultra’s own NFT marketplace where users can trade without paying any gas fees using their native token, $UOS, but also via credit card. William is a “reclusive and eccentric game developer” while Brook is an “avid live-streamer,” both of which will be available as playable characters in Bit Hotel after buying them.
Aside from visual appearance, of which a sneak peek is available in the official Medium post, what is the utility behind these NFTs? Well, apart from being usable in the game, owning a Ultra Bit Hotel NFT will give you 500 Bit Hotel tickets during the first 7 days after signing up with a unique Ultra x Bit Hotel beta key that the developers will email “to each primary sale purchaser.” The tickets can be spent at an in-game item shop. Holders will also get access to a VIP Ultra Conference room within Bit Hotel once the room ends up getting officially released.
More artwork and plans are set to be revealed as part of this new collaboration in the coming days.
Leon Lanen, the Operations Lead at Bit Hotel, said the following:
“We’re very excited to welcome the Ultra community into Bit Hotel soon, as we shared earlier this week. With the lively community and state-of-the art technology Ultra provides this partnership is just a first step to a long win-win relationship.”
Last month, Bit Hotel Beta V2.0 officially went live.
