Kongregate has announced that Bit Heroes Arena, a 2D battle royale RPG that is part of their Bitverse 8-bit metaverse, is now officially available worldwide for everyone to enjoy for free with new features and stability improvements.

The new features in question include unstaking, a lobby system and battle score screen.

Unstaking is a new feature for all games within the Bitverse ecosystem that lets you move your Bitverse Hero back to your wallet after spending time staking it, that is, using it to play and track the character’s progress. This lets you bring back a more valuable hero back to your wallet that you can then of course trade if you so wish to.

The new lobby system makes it possible for players to host custom games through which players can warm-up and try out various different weapons before a match actually starts, giving everyone breathing room for testing out weapons and tactics before diving into the 8-bit arena. This also means that there is now a dummy doll you can use for practice, and you can even spawn in enemies for even better preparation.

Last but not least, the battle score screen will now appear at the end of each match, displaying how many battle points you’ve earned that you can use for unlocking chests containing rewards. Chests are split into 6 different rarities: Mundane, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic. In these chests, the rewards you may find could be gold, pet eggs, jewelry, head equipment, chest equipment, mineral, wood, leather, fiber or preparation of recipes.

Next to these features, the stability of the game has been improved, and so has the performance, though no specific technical notes seem to be available in the official article.

Bit Heroes Arena launched in open beta in November last year. You can now try out the full official release by heading to the link found in the tweet down below.
