After releasing patch v0.24 back in December last year, the developers are now gearing up to release a new version of the multiplayer action RPG that will introduce new content, as well as huge changes to player progression and initial parts of the game, resulting in the wiping of player data once the update is out.
Patch v0.25 of Big Time aims to create a better experience for those playing for the first time. According to the patch notes, this is done by “accelerating early game play” but also by “doing much more to teach players the game.” This means that various balancing changes have been made in an attempt to improve progression, such as making mission XP rewards scale with dungeon level, adjusting requirements for unlocking some skill trees, making rewards in public events to be shared by everyone participating instead of just the party with the last hit, improving drops from “Demon Chests” and much more.
Next to these changes, new content is also making its way to the game with this new patch, such as the introduction of Daily and Weekly Quests, the addition of a new Dungeon Tileset called “Tomb of an Unknown Pharaoh” and the option to craft new “Shock” Weapon Gems. If you have unlocked waypoints in Time’s End, you can now fast travel between them. There are also 2 new Cosmetic Item types: Footprint Effects and Emote animations, the latter of which can be used by getting “special cosmetic digital collectibles in-game or on Open Loot.” A new AI type called CyberPirate Brawler is also included, while some AI will now be able to explode after death.
Many more improvements are included. If you’d like to see the full list of changes, then you can do by checking out the official patch notes here. No details on when the update will exactly release seem to be available at the time of writing.
