Sky Mavis has announced that Axie Infinity Homeland’s new Moonfall update is now planned to launch on June 12th, revamping the system with balancing adjustments while adding various changes to mechanics thanks to community feedback. As a result, Moonbeam will be removed in the upcoming update, allocating remaining rewards to the new system.

Update Details

The new update introduces a quest-like system in which players complete daily missions to earn Moonfall Tickets that allow selected players to claim rewards the next day. The system comes with a daily prize pool of around 400 AXS, and there will be 12 quests every day to complete on each owned plot as well as on land that you’re a steward of. Tasks will vary in difficulty (Easy, Hard and Rare), and you can complete more than one quest. If you don’t like what’s on offer, then you will have the option to re-roll for a new set of quests. Players can re-roll or swap quests up to 5 times a day, after which you will have to buy re-rolls, with each additional swap costing 10 Ancient Coins.

To reward in-game progression, some quests require higher levels of Atia’s Altar or building blueprints. These harder quests however also come with better chances of winning a ticket. The announcement states that in the current assortment of quests players will find tasks with materials for up to level 5 Atia’s Altar, but it may not be long before new quests are added with higher levels.

Your chances of winning tickets not only depends on quest difficulty, but also on plot rarity. Rarer plots come with increased bonus chances of earning tickets. While Savannah has a normal base chance, the Forest plot features a 10% chance increase, while the Arctic plot adds 20%, Mystic has 30%, and the Genesis plot gives players a whopping 50% chance increase.

Even if you don’t win a ticket when beating a quest, you will still be rewarded with gold, with the amount earned varying depending on the type of quest in question. Plots have a certain daily gold reward limit however, so completing quests on Savannah can get you up to 120 gold, while Forest quests could bring you up to 240 gold. Up to 720 daily gold rewards are available on Arctic plots, with Mystic land featuring up to 1560 potential daily gold, and Genesis up to 2880 gold per day.

Prizes

By earning Moonfall tickets from various quests, players can take part in a raffle prize draw, which features a certain amount of AXS represented in Ancient Coins. There are 3 tiers of prizes: Common, Premium and Extra Special. Common is worth 1 AXS, Premium 5 AXS, and Extra Special 20 AXS in Ancient Coins.

As the prize draw features 3 tiers, this also means that there are 3 types of tickets that determine in which prize pool you might be able to participate. The prize pools are said to be reset every day so as to give everyone a fair chance of winning. If you manage to get all 3 types of tickets, then you can actually take part in all 3 prize pools at the same time, giving you a chance to win rewards from each pool.

The Extra Special tier has only one prize worth 20 AXS, while the Premium pool has 50 prizes worth 5 AXS each, and the Common tier comes with 200 or more prizes that are each valued at 1 AXS. According to the official post, the Common prize pool depends on unearned rewards from the previous day, “capped at 200 AXS per day of accumulation.” This means that any unclaimed prizes move to the prize pool for the next day, making it possible to have more than 200 Common prizes available any day. This also means that if the anumberof tickets is lower than the number of prizes in the pool, then all participating players win rewards.

As there is no daily limit on how many prizes you can win each day, landowners who have a couple of plots can benefit from winning more rewards by completing quests from each plot to earn more tickets for a better chance of getting daily goodies.
