Gaming studio Danu Games has revealed new details on the updates that are making their way to the upcoming Alpha V3 of multi-chain MMORPG, Avalon.

What’s In Store for V3?

Alpha V3 will be the last technical test in the alpha phase before the developers transition the Web3 title over to public beta as well as early access on the Epic Games Store. This early version of the game will be packed with new content for both new and returning players to enjoy. If you haven’t participated in any previous alpha test, the official post seems to state that newcomers will need to be lucky to get their hands on one of 500 upcoming passes in order to gain access.

New Weather System

For this version, players can look forward to a more immersive world thanks to the introduction of a new weather system that will bring a “true winter wonderland” and “stunning storms complete with lightning and thunder” on Genesis Island. The developers suggest wearing headphones in order to see how much more immersive the game is with this new weather.

Advanced Battle Companions & Battle Mounts

Advanced battle companions are making their way to the latest alpha version, making it possible for players to have useful partners in battle who will accordingly listen to your orders. This means that players will be able to command them to defend their base as well as send them to take charge in fighting foes standing in the way.

A new class of large battle mounts referred to as advanced battle mounts are also on the way, allowing you to "command your battle pets while mounted on these formidable creatures.”

Quest Journal, Compass System & Auto Delivery of NFT Rewards

The quest journal, or the quest system, is finally making its way to the fantasy title, making it easier to track your progress thanks to the use of waypoints. Speaking of waypoints, making your way through the world at night will now be easier than ever thanks to the introduction of a compass system that uses waypoints to help you stay on track.

Players will now also have a chance of getting NFT drops when unlocking Epic chests, beating world bosses and completing large quests. Should you get some NFT rewards, the latest version will make it so that they are auto delivered to your inventory and connected wallet, “ensuring your treasures are always at hand.”
