Alpha Dune Network, described as the first loyalty-based network powered by Arbitrum Nitro, have announced the first breeding season for Houndrace, a play-to-earn PvP racing game.

Season Details

This first season will go on until January 10th, 2024, giving players a month to breed unique hounds that differ in traits and abilities.

Players can breed new hounds in two different ways: internal breeding and marketplace breeding.

Internal Breeding

If you already have a male and female hound, then you can use this internal breeding process to breed new generations throughout this season, which is done simply by selecting the male and female hound from your pack and clicking the breed button, followed by a confirmation screen that lets you review the details once again before moving ahead with approving the transaction. After the transaction has been confirmed, your new hound will show up in your pack. This new hound inherits some traits and abilities from its parents, but if mutation occurs, then you’ll see it have a couple of unique and rare traits that the male and female parent don’t have.

According to the announcement, the current fee for breeding is 9 $MATIC.

Marketplace Breeding

As the name may imply, marketplace breeding lets you pick one male or female hound from the listed assets in order to be able to breed with a hound that you already own. This means that you need to have at least one hound already in order to choose another one in order to be able to breed from the marketplace.

This means that you too can list your own hound on the marketplace in order to be among the options that other players can pick. By listing your hound on the marketplace, you’ll be able to earn a fee whenever someone breeds their hound with yours. You can set the marketplace fee to be whatever amount that you want, and it can also be changed at any time. Delisting your hound can also be done whenever you want.
