Alien Worlds has officially announced that their metaverse is going 3D thanks to the launch of MineQuest, a Minecraft experience through which players can explore 6 different planets while building, engaging in PvP and completing various quests to earn NFT points.

According to the announcement, this “innovation” is brought to you by EOSUSA, a blockchain service provider that is working with EOS, WAX, and more projects to provide block production services.

This 3D universe is currently available in open beta, and in order to jump into it, you’ll need to own a Java edition of Minecraft in order to be able to play on the server which currently runs on version 1.19.2. Before joining the server, you’ll also have to head to the official website to link your Microsoft account, as well as your WAX wallet in order to be eligible to earn NFT points. These points are earned by completing various timed quests, which distribute a limited number of points to a certain number of players. At the time of writing, there are 3 quests to participate in, each of which have a pool of 1695 NFT points allocated to 50 winners. These ones that are currently available seem to be focused on building, with one challenging players to build a Sandcastle using 128 Sand on the planet Neri. Once a quest expires, players who successfully joined and participated in it will be rewarded with points after the quest has expired, so long as the quest has been successfully completed before it expired.

For detailed instructions on how to dive in, you can find a step-by-step textual and video guide in the official article here, which also contains further info on quests.
