Age of Dino, a Web3 4X strategy game in development by Xterio, who have received $15 million backing from Binance Labs last year, is set to undergo a free-to-play beta test in April, when participants are said to have a chance at gaining huge rewards.
Beta Test Details
Throughout this month, the studio has been posting a series of tweets on the game’s official X account, all teasing bits of details for the upcoming playtest. After announcing the test session on March 11th, the post was followed up with a March 13th tweet revealing how players could potentially gain ‘massive’ rewards. This week, on March 18th, it was announced that the test phase will consist of 4 game types and 10 gameplay modes. Based on the embedded image in the tweet, there will be 5 PvE modes, 3 competitive guild vs guild modes, one mini-game, and one mining mode.
Today, March 20th, the developers posted another tweet, this time revealing that the playtest will last one month and be free-to-play for all, giving participants an opportunity to collect Dino Points referred to as DIO. Collecting these will give you a chance at earning a share of the Xterio Ecosystem’s Airdrop, with Dinosty holders said to gain a “supreme reward boost.”
Access to Rewards
While the beta will be free-to-play, a tweet on March 13th explained that to earn ‘massive’ rewards, players will need to either be a Dino holder, join future marketing events, or “become good friends with Dino Holders.” Specific details on rewards however do not seem to be available at the time of writing, with one post mentioning $DAM token rewards and in-game loot.
