Developer Aether Games has pushed out the final patch of the year for Aether: Trading Card Game, previously known as Cards of Ethernity.

What’s New in Patch 0.46.10?

The latest update to the Web3 TCG is packed with bug fixes and balancing changes, but also new features and new content that includes a new keyword and 2 new cards. The new keyword is called Ironclad, and it prevents your opponent from forcing you to discard cards. You can still discard them yourself of course, while Aureon can bypass Ironclad, just like they do with all other protections. There is one new rare card, the Earthweave Serpent (Earth, Beast), and a legendary card, The Tyrant (Air, Troll).

Winterfest & Referral System

When it comes to new features, the developers have introduced an exclusive seasonal activity called Winterfest. For 2 weeks, players can earn 500 AC by playing 10 ranked matches. The patch notes tease that more holiday-themed festivities will be made available throughout the season.

If you’re looking to invite a friend over to the game for the holidays, then you’ll want to make use of the new Referral System, which rewards not only you but also your friend by meeting a certain criteria. By inviting someone new to the blockchain title, the referral and the player who invited the newcomer can earn the two previously-mentioned cards, Earthweave Serpent and The Tyrant, by successfully finishing 10 Milestones included in this new system.
