The Aavegotchi team has recently announced the official launch of the Gotchi Miner, a competitive NFT game from Ghost Squad, and with it the multiplayer title's first public tournament which has kicked off this March 28th and will end on April 4th.
The goal of this community-made 2D game utilizing Aavegotchi NFTs is to mine Crypto Crystals to turn into in-game crypto at the refinery while ensuring your jetpack has enough fuel, repairing any damage sustained, upgrading your gear and buying items that include consumables and explosives. To play, simply connect your wallet on the game's official website, pick your Gotchi NFT and vote for a map you'd like to play in. It's possible to play alone as well as with up to 5 players, while those who don't own an NFT can borrow one on Aavegotchi's official lending page.
The tournament, which anyone can participate in, features XP and NFT rewards. Those who manage to get more than $10k points with their NFT are awarded with 5 XP regardless of their leaderboard ranking, while those in the top 500 get 10 XP and the top 100 earn 15 XP. As for the NFTs, they're reserved for the 500 highest-ranking players and include NFT wearables from Pixelcraft Studios as well as FAKE Gotchi NFTs awarded by the ATF (Aarcade Task Force). For specific details on how high you have to be ranked to get a certain NFT, you can find out by heading to the official post here.
Meanwhile, the AavegotchiDAO and Pixelcraft Studios raised $30 million DAI from their token sale, while also announcing a Q3 launch for the Gotchichain.
