The team behind cyberpunk MMORPG 77-Bit have officially announced the launch of BitHub to deliver accessible blockchain browser gaming while rewarding players in the process.

What Is BitHub?

BitHub is a platform through which users can easily discover and play various crypto browser games. As the developers worked on their browser-based MMO, they realized that many web3 games made for browsers face the challenge of distribution. Developer Analong Games aims to solve this by creating this all-in-one platform that comes with a unified store alongside its own currency and rewards. Anyone can jump into this hub on any browser without needing to download anything. You don’t need to have any crypto wallet either, and the hub doesn’t even force users to use a specific blockchain network. An email address, X, or Telegram account is all that’s needed to sign up.

While there aren’t any games to play on this platform for now, you might want to hop on as early as possible to start earning rewards.

How to Earn Rewards in BitHub

BitHub uses a unified rewards system consisting of Bytes and Boost.

Bytes is the in-platform reward currency that anyone can passively mine and thus earn for free. You can earn more of this currency by playing various games listed on the platform, but also by inviting friends. It’s not a cryptocurrency, but collecting it could lead to an on-chain reward, as the official X article teases that earned Bytes will be converted into something, perhaps multiple unrevealed things, in the future.

To further increase the number of Bytes you earn from mining, you will have to increase the Boost multiplier. The bigger your Boost, the faster the rate at which you earn Bytes. Everyone starts off with a base Boost of 1x, which can be increased in multiple different ways. Connecting a wallet holding at least $100 “to prove you’re not a bot” adds +1x to the multiplier. Claiming your daily reward on a consistent basis also gets you a +1x addition to the multiplier. Inviting friends could give you a +1.5x multiplier boost if the invites are determined to be legitimate using a “set of 3 hidden parameters,” while completing all 10 Awakening missions is also rewarded with a +1.5x increase. Making your way through the free and paid tiers of the Battle Pass could get you a whopping +3.5x increase, and of course, holding 77-Bit NFTs will give you the highest boost of +4.5x.

With just one button click, you can start passively mining Bytes right now. You can also hire AI agent BitBot to claim the rewards automatically for you if you don’t have time to login and do the claim manually. This AI agent can be purchased using Bits, the premium store currency that you can claim a certain amount daily as well as purchase in different packs. You need 1200 Packs for BitBot, which is $11.99 at the time of writing. Bits can be purchased via credit card, but also using crypto, with Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon, Solana, and BSC listed as the supported networks. The cryptocurrency you can choose to make your purchase with varies depending on your chain of choice.

Earn more Bytes by logging in every day for daily rewards, as well as by using your invite code to invite friends over, earning 10% of their Bytes in the process, and 2% of the Bytes earned by users that your friends invite.

Eventually, you will also be able to earn Bytes by playing their anime MMORPG. Specifically, the game will let you earn a soft currency called Pixels, which you will be able to directly convert into Bytes at an unspecified ratio. One of the ways in which you will earn Pixels is by completing Battle Pass missions.

Before this ecosystem gets to onboard plenty of varied crypto browser games, the studio is focusing on their flagship title 77-Bit, which is coming to Abstract Chain in open beta later this month. In the meantime, you can hop on board BitHub straight away to start earning various rewards as the team slowly works towards achieving their vision of creating a big storefront and hub full of diverse games to play on your favorite browser.
