Uncharted has launched Gangster Arena 2, an idle degen game where players can earn $GREED and $U points. This new game combines elements of idle tycoon and PvP strategies.

According to JW, co-founder of Uncharted: "Gangster Arena 2 is an idle game made for degens. The game is designed so players can win in many ways - climbing up the leaderboard, joining gang wars, or just farming $GREED."

Gameplay Overview

In Gangster Arena 2, you play as a mob boss. The goal is to increase your gang's reputation and earn ETH rewards at the end of the season. Players buy Gangsters, Goons, and Safehouses to grow their gangs. Reputation is key, as it determines leaderboard rankings and rewards. Players also take part in gang wars, where they can raid others or defend their stash.

Tokens and NFTs

The game features two main tokens: $GREED and xGREED. $GREED is an ERC-20 token used for purchases within the game. It can be traded for ETH and is earned in-game. xGREED, on the other hand, is an off-chain token that can be converted 1:1 to $GREED. Players can earn xGREED by holding $GREED, with a cooldown period in place. 

Gangster NFTs

Gangster NFTs are essential units in the game. Each Gangster produces $GREED and boosts your reputation. Players can level up their Gangsters and Safehouses to increase their earnings. This progression is crucial for climbing the leaderboards.

The game's economy is driven by $GREED. This token will become deflationary after Season 2, making it more valuable. Players earn $GREED by purchasing and leveling up their Gangsters and Safehouses. They can also farm xGREED by holding $GREED, with xGREED rewards equal to 10% of their daily $GREED balance.

Gangster Arena 2 uses a Variable Dutch Auction at launch. This system ensures a fair start, reducing the advantage of early buyers. Prices for Gangsters, Safehouses, and Goons go down every 20 minutes for the first 48 hours. Players must pick the best time to buy and max their gains.
