Here's how to take part in the latest Sandbox Game Jam

The Sandbox (TSB), a leading user-generated metaverse, has launched the Multiplayer Parkour Game Jam for game makers to showcase their skills. 

Anyone with a TSB account can participate in this event from April 17th to May 7th by creating and submitting multiplayer parkour experiences using The Sandbox Game Maker version 0.8.2. 

Game makers will compete for a 50,000 SAND prize pool with the following reward distribution: 

  • 1st place: 10,000 SAND with an opportunity to join the Game Maker Fund.
  • 2nd place: 6,000 SAND.
  • 3rd place: 3,500 SAND.
  • 4th – 10th place: 1,500 SAND each.
  • Best Idea (Top 5 participants with the best "Overall Idea"): 1,000 SAND each. 
  • Best Design (Top 5 participants with the best average between "Game Design" and "Level Design"): 1,000 SAND each. 
  • Participation Award (Limited to the first 100 participants that didn't place in the Top 10, fulfilled entry guidelines, and completed all submission steps correctly): 100 SAND each. 

Each game must be at least 5 minutes long (excluding timed collection quests) and contain at least 25 different voxel assets. All entries will be evaluated on a 20-point scale in the following categories:

  • Overall Creative Idea (5 Points)
  • Level Design (5 Points)
  • Game Design (5 Points)
  • Playability (5 Points)
  • Bonus Points: Wow Factor (Up to 2 Points Extra)

Participants may work solo or as a team/studio of no more than four people. To be eligible for participation, creators must submit their entries to the Game Maker "Gallery" before filling out this submission form. For more details on the rules and regulations, check out the official post.
