Dr. Bomkus’ Game Jam invites creators to enter The Sandbox’s vibrant ecosystem, where gaming meets culture, and dreams come to fruition. The Game Jam, hosted by the enigmatic Dr. Bomkus, offers a whopping 100K SAND prize pool, along with other exciting rewards such as LANDs, Catalysts, and publishing opportunities. These rewards open doors to further opportunities within The Sandbox ecosystem.

Participation and Registration

To participate in Dr. Bomkus’ Game Jam, creators must first register for the event. Registrations are open until January 15th, with the official kick-off and theme reveal scheduled for January 16th. Now, registered participants will also be invited to a Kick-Off AMA with the Game Jam Program Managers, providing valuable insights and guidance for the event.

Furthermore, participants can win a share of the 100,000 SAND prize pool, along with 10 LANDs and exclusive Catalyst Packs. The top three winners will receive significant SAND rewards and LANDs, along with Gold and Silver Catalyst Packs. Additionally, honorable mentions will be awarded 2,000 SAND each. The Sandbox also offers a publishing opportunity, welcoming select contestants to get their games published directly on one of The Sandbox’s dedicated Estates.

The Game Jam has several key dates, including the registration deadline (January 15th), the kick-off and theme reveal (January 16th), the submission deadline (February 5th), and the live awards ceremony (March 9th). Participants are encouraged to utilize The Sandbox’s Game Maker and VoxEdit software, available for free download, to create their games and custom assets.
