Strategic card game Splinterlands is back with another new Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge that encourages the community to get creative with their playstyle while incentivizing participation in the decentralized social media called PeakD, which runs on Hive, the same blockchain as the Web3 title.

Weekly Challenge Details

The latest weekly challenge uses the following ruleset: Healed Out. This ruleset removes the option to use healing abilities that include Heal, Tank Heal and Triage, with the same limit also applying to summoners.

Players are challenged to create a post featuring a link to their video that showcases one of their battles using this ruleset. Submitting requires using the #splinterlands and #play2earn tags on the PeakD platform for successful participation. The deadline is said to be 2 days before the post pays out, which is Monday at 12 PM CDT, with the reason behind this deadline being so that curators have enough time to review every entry before the start of the next weekly challenge. Participants are allowed to share their submission on any social media network as well, and should link both their main Hive post and the social media post in the comment section of the official challenge post announcement.

Rewards

Everyone who participates could end up being rewarded with upvotes on the decentralized social media website, with each account limited to making 2 entries a week while receiving a total of 2 upvotes per week, per user. Players caught using multiple accounts for the contest will end up getting muted and banned from future curation and contest participation. Each entry is manually curated by a team of community curators, with the game’s developers also allowed to upvote during the review process as both sides work together to try and vote in order of entry.
