The Splinterlands team has announced that Land Phase 1.5 of the Secret of Praetoria expansion is set to officially launch on Tuesday, November 14th.

Land Phase 1.5 Details

After releasing the first phase earlier this year, where players who bought land claim tokens could redeem them for land plot NFTs on the continent of Praetoria and survey them to learn about details such as rarity, available resources and terrain type, the developers are now ready to launch Phase 1.5.

With this new phase, players will get to put their land plots to use by staking DEC tokens and worker cards on their plots. Doing this will produce a “small subset of resources” which will be available from phase 2 and onwards, according to the official announcement post.

This phase will also make it possible for players to research the continent and as such have a “head start on unlocking the Secret of Praetoria and the rewards that lay within!”

Earlier this year, the team released the whitepaper for Land Phase 1.5, containing full details on everything you need to know about this upcoming stage of the expansion, though some things present in the documentation are still in development and as such won’t be available straight from release. Players are also encouraged to check out the Land Phase 1.5 Preflight Checklist.

What’s Coming in Phase 2?

While phase 1.5 lets players experiment with a small part of land and resource management, the official post states that in Phase 2, players can expect to experience the “full release of buildings and resources,” with more than 30 different types of buildings set to be included. You will be able to build and upgrade these structures on your land plot, using them to produce more than 50 different resources. This phase is planned to launch sometime next year, with the first draft of its whitepaper set to be published at some point in the near future.
