The NBA side of fantasy sports platform Sorare has officially announced the release of the Collection Game.
What Is the Collection Game?

The Collection Game is designed to reward fans for creating Collections of their favorite players and teams. This means that managers can now gain bonuses for doing just that from Game Week 19 and onwards.
This means that if you create Collections of cards that meet certain team, season and rarity criteria, you’ll be able to increase your Collection Score, which will in turn allow you to unlock scoring bonuses that will be applied to all player cards in that Collection.
Collection Score

Collection Score is a dynamic value that is based on the cards grouped into your Collection. Each Pro Card (Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique) has attributes that go towards the Collection Score. The amount of points a Pro Card gives depends on the criteria displayed in both of the above images, though 2 things don’t apply to Unique Cards, and those include a #1 Serial Number which awards 30 points and getting 30 points from having the Serial Number match with the Jersey Number. You cannot get any points from Common Cards.
Collection Bonus

Depending on your Collection Score, you might get a Collection Bonus that applies to all cards in that Collection. This means that if you put in your lineup a Pro Card that is part of a Collection which has a score of 250, then that card will be given a 3% scoring bonus for every Game Week. The team clarifies though that managers with “multiple cards of the same Player/Team/Season/Scarcity” will only have the card with the highest Collection Score count, making it so that “your most valuable cards are always front and center.”
The developers are already teasing future updates to provide an even better experience. These include the release of a “Rank” feature on your Team Collection Card, as well as the launch of Collection Leaderboards.
