RisingWings, the SouthKorean based game development company released a statement that it will be bringing its first-ever Profile Picture NFT minting through its global blockchain-based esports service, COMPETZ. The minting will be in stages, and the first round will carry 1000 NFTs, which can be used as Profile pictures on the COMPETZ Platform.
To access the NFTs, interested persons must make an advance deposit on the platform before 7 pm (KST) on May 10. Furthermore, certain eligibility tasks would be provided, and only persons who complete these tasks would partake in the PFP NFT minting on BORA PORTAL- the company’s blockchain network.
The minting would last for 1hour on May 10 at 8:00 pm (KST), immediately after the time slated for the payment of advance deposits ends.
These NFTs will come with several exclusive benefits across RisingWing platforms and can also be used on the COMPETZ platform or traded for other assets.
Users who purchase the PFP NFTs will be whitelisted for exclusive perks during future events and giveaways. Those added to the whitelist will get early access to upcoming events and help purchase NFTs at a discounted price. They will also receive additional minting opportunities depending on their NFT level.
There are five different levels of PFP rarity: Legendary, Epic, Rare, Uncommon, and Common, and users receive greater rewards for rarer PFPs. If the user owns more than one PFP, the benefits that apply will be cumulative. Furthermore, Airdrop events will be available to PFP buyers, with 1,000 BORA tokens (tBORA) being awarded to each person.
Commenting on the project, Vice president of Rising Wings Moon Jae-in said:
“We are planning the first official PFP minting for users to enjoy the excitement of the next game offered at COMPETZ. In addition to the initial PFP minting, we also plan to publish a game skin NFT. Stay tuned for more details on the various upcoming events.”
