Play-to-earn arcade gaming platform Nakamoto Games has announced that they are expanding into the Middle East by entering Saudi Arabia, the region’s biggest market.
Expansion Details
A host of initiatives is being held as a result of this expansion, among which are tournaments, educative content, local events, and hackathons.
Tournaments & Education
A variety of GameFi tournaments are planned to be held in the Middle East in collaboration with the Arabian Gaming Guild, with the competitions set to be “the region’s most significant [play-to-earn] tournaments the Middle East insdustry has ever seen.” Gamers in Saudi Arabia will get to compete for various prize pools thanks to the platform’s new expansion that is set to pave the way for further Web3 gaming adoption.
To help with introducing more gamers to the world of Web3, Nakamoto Games is partnering with Yalgamers to help in educating the region about the benefits of blockchain gaming. This means that there will be educational campaigns related to crypto, GameFi, and play-to-earn, with the educational-focused collaboration said to extend to the Arabian Gaming Guild who will help with streaming and onboarding.
Local Events & Hackathons
Thanks to the partnership with GamifierSA, a series of offline tournaments “in the leading gaming tournament stadiums in the region” will be hosted, with the events said to be set to garner the attention of thousands of local gamers who will watch popular Saudi players showcase their skills on the blockchain gaming platform.
The final campaign in this region will consist of a host of local hackathons where developers will get to jump into blockchain game development. These will be hosted together with HackathonX, and are set to be the industry’s largest hackathons in the region that will be supported by “leading Saudi outlets” and the government. According to the announcement, new games are set to make their way to the platform as a result of these Web3-focused hackathons.
