Mysten Labs, a recently launched gaming platform has announced its plan to bring on high-end games to its Sui Layer 1 blockchain. The company has also secured $300 million from its recent funding round. 

The Sui Mainnet is currently live with about 11 gaming partners, which include a company developing a game based on The Walking Dead.  During an interview with Evan Cheng, CEO of the California-based Mysten Labs, he said the games will be live starting from May 15. 

The platform seeks to empower experienced game developers to reach a deeper level of player engagement. These developers will enjoy a seamless user experience provided by the scalable, fast, and secure infrastructure.  

At the Consensus 2023 Conference, Adeniyi Abiodun, Mysten Labs’ co-founder and chief product officer showed a sneak peek of what the games looks like. 

Speaking on the game developments, Cheng said “Our team has been working tirelessly with some of the most distinguished, recognizable, and innovative gaming brands and creators in the world to build games that offer users brand new experiences on the Sui Layer 1 blockchain.” He buttressed that the team will continue to refine the platform and release more AAA games on Sui. 

Upcoming Games on Mysten Lab's Sui Blockchain 

The games would be released in batches, starting from May 15. The debuting games will include Orange Comet: Final Stardust, Arrivant: Project Eluune, and Talofa: Run Legends.

From May 22 to May 28, the partnering gaming platform will release Worlds Beyond, Lucky Kat: Cosmocadia, and Aether Games: Cards of Eternity. The third batch will start from May 29 to June 4, the games launching will be Seascape: Mini Miners, Orange Comet: Degens & Dragons, Ghost Ivy: Haven’s Compass and BlueJay: Arcade Champion.

Finally, from June 5 to June 11, the following games will be unbounded: Onenet: Bushi, Lucky Kat: Panzerdogs and Orange Comet: The Walking Dead.
