After revealing how players can earn $CNOTES in blockchain tycoon title Music Mogul, developer Tyranno Studios has now explained how its Gear and Crew NFTs work in upping your chances of earning more in this WAX-based game.

These assets help players improve their track quality, making it important to use them in track creation if you want to raise its streaming potential and thus be as popular as possible.

Gear NFT

There are 48 unique pieces of Gear NFTs divided into 6 categories and 4 rarities, with the exclusion of Legendary Gear for the time being.

Each piece offers a certain percentage bonus to the base track score, with the boost varying by rarity. Common Gear adds a 0.25% bonus, Uncommon 0.5%, Rare 1% and Epic brings a 1.75% boost to the base track score.

These assets act as consumables essentially, as they are one-time use items that you can buy in the in-game store in the form of Multi Gear Packs, which are booster packs that come in 5 different variations with differing rarities. The official post lists the prices and specific details for each pack as follows:

  • Pink Multi Gear Pack: 3 pieces for 42 CRED with a drop rate chance per pack (90% Common / 10% Uncommon)
  • Green Multi Gear Pack: 3 pieces for 78 CRED with a drop rate chance per pack (70% Common / 30% Uncommon)
  • Blue Multi Gear Pack: 2 pieces for 96 CRED with a drop rate chance per pack (70% Uncommon / 30% Rare)
  • Purple Multi Gear Pack: 3 pieces for 144 CRED with a drop rate chance per pack (80% Rare / 20% Epic)
  • Orange Multi Gear Pack: 3 pieces for 276 CRED with a drop rate chance per pack (60% Rare / 40% Epic)

Crew NFT

Crew members are also one-time use NFTs but offer a couple of different bonuses that are genre-specific and depend on rarity. By having these assets provide enhancements for specific genres, the game requires you to strategically think about which Crew members you actually need in order to create the best track in a particular genre.

Players will find a selection of Crew members available for purchase in the in-game store, with the roster refreshing every 12 hours. If you’d like the listings to get refreshed straight away, then you have the option to pay a small fee to avoid waiting half a day to see new Crew members.

Prices of Crew members vary based on rarity:

  • Common Crew: 90 CRED (boost level in unique genres: 0.25% / 0.5% / 1.5%)
  • Uncommon Crew: 132 CRED (boost level in unique genres: 1% / 2% / 2.4%)
  • Rare Crew: 242 CRED (boost level in unique genres: 2.75% / 3.5% / 4.45%)
  • Epic Crew: 420 CRED (boost level in unique genres: 3.75% / 6.5% / 9%)
