Animoca Brands has announced that their subsidiary Darewise Entertainment, the developer of sci-fi MMO Life Beyond, has formed a strategic partnership with DFZ Labs, the creator of Web3 brand Deadfellaz.
Partnership Details
The goal of this partnership for both sides is to further expand their respective communities while forming an advisory framework through which the two studios will look to support each other in continuous growth, according to the press release.
The CEO of DFZ Labs, Betty, said the following in the announcement:
“Collaboration is one of the foundational cornerstones of Web3, and it is a huge honor to envision something new and build it alongside such visionary peers as Darewise and Animoca Brands. The exchange of value between our companies means we each benefit from our respective expertise, which grows the entire ecosystem and pushes what we build forward, together. Huge thank you to the Darewise team!”
Through this partnership, animated rigged avatars called Streamingfellaz, made by Hologram Labs and used for streaming and content creation by the Deadfellaz community, will be used to show some of the upcoming goodies Darewise has in store for Life Beyond, including the alpha and beta versions of the game, as well as the B.O.T.S browser game in which players send bots on various missions in order items useful for the main MMO. The alpha version of the Web3 title is scheduled for a Q2 2024 launch, while the beta is planned to go live in Q4 this year.
Darewise Entertainment CEO Benjamin Charbit added:
“The Deadfellaz brand is one of the most recognized IPs in the Web3 space thanks not only to its strong visual identity but also to the values it represents and its strong commitment to gaming and the empowerment of its community. We are looking forward to our working closely together and sharing each other’s expertise.”
In celebration of this new partnership, Darewise has bought 3 Deadfellaz PFP NFTs as well as 50 Packs of NFTs for an upcoming trading card game from DFZ Labs, with the assets set to be used “for community battles and engagement.”
Last week, Darewise announced a collaboration with Honda and Animoca Brands Japan with the aim of co-developing automotive gameplay in Life Beyond.
