Lussa is a first-person 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing shooter game currently under development, with added elements like survival and exploration. Set in a time when Earth is threatened by a solar storm, which prompts teams of soldiers to explore new planets and gather resources. The purpose of the game is to win over opponents in a bid to ensure that humanity and humans survive. The game will turn players into space conquerors who must combine gameplay skills and strategy to win across different maps set on different planets. 

The Lore Behind Lussa and Its Gameplay

Lussa is an exciting game set in a future where Earth is in danger from a huge solar storm. To save humanity, brave soldiers travel through space looking for new planets where people can live.

Players form teams and take on the role of soldiers who travel the universe in the hopes of finding an inhabitable planet.  The team must take on other rival factions consisting of humans who are also out there to find the ultimate source of power - the cosmic core. 

Once released, users must create their account to get started and then customize their character to transform it into a lethal killing machine. Players must build their characters to not only deter foes but also brave the planetary dangers. 

There are time-limited matches, with each game having a time limit of 5 to 10 minutes. Winners are declared if they eliminate the opponents or by the points collected at the end of the time limit. However, the ultimate goal of playing this game is to capture the opponent’s base and reap all the benefits that come with the acquisition like using their resources, expanding territory, and many more.

Four Battle Modes and Multiple In-Game Elements

Built on the Enjin blockchain, Lussa is set in a scary, beautiful, intergalactic universe. Players engage in battles in four modes;

  • Explore: In the free-to-play explore mode with limited avatars, weapons, and only two maps. It’s a good method to get familiar with the maps and gameplay dynamics and get used to everything in the game. In this mode, players can also deposit an amount of their choosing. Playable in 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, and 5vs5 mode, the winner takes 60% of the pooled money, and the rest is distributed between the losing team and kept aside to hold tournaments and game development. 
  • NFT Battle Royale Mode: Players can take the role of a commander and build a world but only if holding an NFT card. Using LUSSA tokens, players can build this world as their own and evolve the other team members. Every player on the team possesses a unique skill, which means the entire team must work in collaboration to win battles. Commanders also have access to AI-driven support to build their world and solve problems. 
  • Daily Battle Mode: In this mode, players engage in warfare to improve their combat skills. Held every day but on Friday, in this mode, every planet has the freedom to launch five attacks and five defenses per day. Winning in this mode brings resources while helping players sharpen their combat skills. 
  • Weekly Battle Mode: Playable with at least 4 active players in a user’s world, everyone participating has to navigate through specially designed maps and work together to survive and win. 

Lussa is taking gaming to the next level by merging the digital and physical worlds. This means that the game is now part of the metaverse, a virtual space where reality and digital experiences blend together.

The game runs on a decentralized network, making it safe and reliable for players. With this setup, players can use NFTs (unique digital items) and cryptocurrencies, giving them more ways to earn money while playing.

All future updates to Lussa will be part of the metaverse. Players will be able to sell the items they win in battles on a special online marketplace. This allows them to trade in-game assets for real-world value.

Lussa is set in an expansive galactic universe, which means countless worlds and assets can become a part of the player’s base. All of the 6 planets represent a unique NFT masterpiece. Players, while exploring these planets, are supposed to discover their mysteries and secrets. 

To further augment exploration, players can teleport from one planet to another. Moreover, every character in the game is connected to a PET (Personal Exploration Technology), tailored to their specific class. This system links every character to a unique companion or device that aids in their journey.

In addition to planets, there are buildings that are the storehouses of daily resources looted through wars between different bases and worlds. Each building in every world has a specific purpose and aids in winning the battles. Buildings are of different types including Main HQ, Soldier Production Facility, Laboratory, Resource Depository, Technology Base, Medical Facility, Radar, Laser Defence, Tower, Rocket Launcher, Wall, Sonic Defender, Tesla Coil, and Bomb Thrower, among others. 

Similarly, there are different characters, each with its unique capabilities, including the Commander, Battle Master, Healer, Strategist, and Time Lord. Players must understand each character’s capabilities to learn how to use them in battle for maximum impact. 

The Lussa Ecosystem

Lussa runs with three core components;

  • NFT Marketplace: Represents the center of the trading system, allowing players to buy, sell, and trade digital assets. Even though all transactions on the marketplace are made in LUSSA tokens, users can engage in multi-chain transactions. 
  • Decentralized Exchange (DEX): With support for multiple languages, Lussa’s DEX offers market information and options to convert different tokens. 
  • Wallet: Built with assistance from Visionaire Labs, the compatible wallet helps users manage their assets within and outside the game. Users can add LUSSA tokens to their wallet after buying them with a credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

Latest Updates from Lussa

Lussa has made major progress recently. They hired Douglas H. Kennedy as Chief Revenue Officer and partnered with EnigmaFund to boost their Web3 gaming experience. The game joined the NVIDIA Inception program, which supports startups. Additionally, Lussa is collaborating with Helika, a data analytics and game management platform, to improve gameplay with advanced insights and support. Helika will provide in-game and social analytics, assist with fundraising, and engage in joint marketing activities, marking a major step forward for Lussa in the blockchain gaming industry.

Upcoming Phases (Q3/Q4 2024 and Beyond) include Lussa open beta and NFT marketplace, allowing players to trade in-game assets. The Token Generation Event (TGE) is planned for later this year. Early 2025 will see the launch of the first story mode chapter, followed by the development of a Battle Royale mode.
