The team behind Engines of Fury, a 3D auto battler made in the Unity engine, recently tweeted that the game’s PvE Boss Fight game mode will be releasing sometime this year.

In this game mode, players will get to battle a range of different aliens from which they’ll be able to earn XP but also the $FURY token and NFT blueprints by winning a fight. $FURY is the game’s main token used for things such as staking, trading NFTs, exchanging crypto, taking part in arenas, but also as an entry fee for this upcoming game mode, according to the whitepaper. Players will get to equip their weapons and armor NFTs, including various abilities before watching their customizable and upgradable character, or champion, battle it out against a boss in animated 3D action in the form of auto battler gameplay. The character’s class, level, items, abilities and the game’s RNG all have an effect on the outcome of the boss fight.

No exact date for the PvE gameplay was given, though the developers’ roadmap states that a PvE-only public launch of a demo will release in Q3 this year, followed by an alpha launch in Q4 2022 that will feature both PvP and PvE modes. The game is backed by Animoca Brands, DAO Maker, Kyros Ventures and more.
