Pangu Software, who you might know as the web3 game developer of MetaCene, has officially launched Season 1 of Cyber Crash, giving everyone the chance to play to earn 2 million NeonX once again, with players able to convert those points to the $CCC token.
What Is Cyber Crash?
Cyber Crash is a strategic card RPG in which players create squads of heroes using various formations to tactically engage in turn-based combat across PvP and PvE game modes. It’s set in a cyberpunk world that features over 100 unique anime-styled characters to build your team out of, with each harboring their own special abilities and skills that can be upgraded as you level up heroes and utilize a number of features to make them even stronger.
Finding the right combination of heroes to use in battle can be crucial to dominating games in this web3 strategy game, now live as a free to play title for Android devices, with the mobile version available for download from the game’s official website. Next to this core 3D game is also a lightweight web companion app on the website’s home page through which you can summon and stake Hero NFTs to earn $CCC tokens, according to its official guide. $CCC is the game’s core governance utility token that launched in late August, shortly after the reveal of the Cyber Crash whitepaper. Next to mining for it with NFTs through the casual browser-based staking game, you can also play and earn it through the main game itself by accumulating in-game points called NeonX, though you also need to collect World Contribution Value, which does require doing community-based tasks.
Just a day after the end of Season 0, which ran from August 28 to September 10, the open beta test version continues on with Season 1, bringing new features to enjoy while playing to earn NeonX, and thus in turn, the $CCC token.

What’s New in Cyber Crash Season 1?
Season 1 is a new play and earn period during which Cyber Crash players can compete for NeonX points from September 11, 4 AM UTC, to September 17, 4 PM UTC.
While the prize pool is the same quantity as last season, the reward distribution for the 2 million NeonX points is now different thanks to new leaderboards, meaning that the prize pool has been allocated as follows:
- Arena Leaderboard: 51%
- Wish Space Point Leaderboard: 21%
- Newbie Combat Power Leaderboard: 21%
- Daily Chest: 7%
To up your chances of climbing the new Wish Space Point Leaderboard, it looks like you might want to recruit the new combatant that is Taki Seiryu, who has a current, time-limited Wish probability of 20%. This new hero also has their own Boss Challenge event through which you can earn various rewards by claiming victory multiple times to increase your score. The Wish Space Point Leaderboard features 30k NeonX points distributed every day to the top 200 players alongside other rewards that you can get by using this new gacha-style system.
The Newbie Combat Power Leaderboard is dedicated particularly to new accounts that have created a character after the end of Season 0. The top 300 players will receive a share of 420k NeonX by the end of the season, with rankings said to be determined based on real-time power levels. Newcomers can track their rankings for this one using a specific Google Sheet.
The free daily chest now has an increased chance of dropping NeonX, and you can earn 1 free chest every day by completing daily tasks. Just make sure to claim it afterwards and open it once it unlocks the next day, while also making sure to do so before it expires based on its in-game timer.
Next to all these additions, there is now a Special Training mode to test your teams through increasingly-challenging unlockable stages, alongside the unlockable KeepSake Warehouse system to manage your treasures in and upgrade your gear.
How to Play and Earn in Cyber Crash Season 1
To play Cyber Crash in Season 1, you will have to download the open beta version of the card game on Android as an APK file through the game’s official website for free. While there is no native PC version, you can play the game emulated, with the developers recommending BlueStacks for those who don’t want to play on mobile.
After you’ve set the game up and logged in with your email address, you can start to play and earn NeonX points by climbing one of the 3 leaderboards for this season while also completing daily tasks to open 1 free chest per day for a chance at gaining more points.
The game features a story-based PvE mode to progress through, and you will want to make your way through that in order to unlock more features and get used to the game’s card battle system. As you progress through the game, you'll get to unlock various cards, skill codes, and materials to strengthen your team.
When you feel ready, hop on to the PvP Arena to compete for a share of the season’s biggest leaderboard-based reward pool of 1.02 million NeonX points, which will be distributed to the top 200 best PvP players. If you’re a new player just starting out this season, then you get to climb the Newbie Combat Power Leaderboard as well, where the goal is to increase your power level by making your combatants as strong as possible.
If you end up winning NeonX from this season, you will be able to convert those points to the $CCC token, but there is a catch: World Contribution Value (WCV). To convert your winnings into actual tokens, you will need to have the same amount of WCV, which is earned by completing community tasks to gain community points, as well as by recharging on the official website using $CCC or USDT, with 1 $CCC said to give you 2 WCV.
