Cool Cats, a prominent NFT (Non-Fungible Token) brand, has unveiled its plans to enter the mobile gaming industry. This move comes as a result of a strategic partnership with two subsidiaries of venture capital firm Animoca Brands. The collaboration is set to yield three distinct games over the next year, marking a significant expansion of the Cool Cats brand beyond the realm of NFTs.
Anticipated Game Releases and Brand Diversification
While specific details about the upcoming games, including their titles and trailers, remain under wraps, more information is expected to be released in July. This partnership with Animoca Brands underscores Cool Cats' commitment to innovation and diversification. In line with this, Cool Cats is already engaging its audience with a unique, gamified storytelling experience named "Journey". This interactive experience features a series of missions, puzzles, and riddles that unlock new game levels upon completion.
Significant Changes in the Cool Cats Ecosystem
In tandem with its venture into mobile gaming, Cool Cats is also anticipating significant changes within its ecosystem. The brand has announced the discontinuation of Cooltopia, a platform specific to the brand, slated for July 27. Additionally, the $MILK token, which functioned as a social currency within the ecosystem, is also set to be phased out. More details about the final burning event, signalling the end of the $MILK token, will be disclosed in the upcoming weeks.
The current market value of the Cool Cats NFT collection stands at 0.5979 ETH (equivalent to about $1,170), while Cool Pets, the brand’s secondary collection, is trading at a floor price of 0.0607 ETH.
