The developers of Chumbi Valley have announced a new NFT sale that is supposedly set to be the last one before its web3 farming MMORPG launches in public beta at some point this 2025.

How Does Chumbi Valley’s New NFT Land Sale Work?

The new NFT land sale is said to give the community one final chance to enter the final exclusive pre-sale before open beta launches by buying Chumbi Land Chests. 

There are only 6000 of these chests, and participants can purchase 20 of them per transaction using USDT (ERC20). A VIP Sale is planned for February 27th, followed by the Public Sale on February 28th. The sale is scheduled to close on March 7th, while NFT distribution will take place on March 8th. At some point in March, holders should be able to open their purchased chests.

Every chest in this sale is said to contain 3 exclusive NFTs: 1 Land Plot NFT, 1 Jumbi NFT, and 1 Chumbi Dojo NFT. Each of these assets found in chests have a chance as being minted into a Gold NFT. Gold NFTs represent “incredibly” rare versions of the same NFTs. Owning these gold editions will give you access to the Chumbi Vault, through which you can enjoy various exclusive benefits and “sustainably” claim monthly $CHMB rewards. Every minted chest has a chance of having up to 3 Gold NFTs.

The 6000 Land Chests are divided into 3 different rarities, and as such come with 3 pricing tiers:

In the last NFT sale, assets were sold out in 4 minutes and helped the team raise $3.7 million, but after “3+ long years and surviving a bear market, we are now getting close to the end of our financial runway,” and the team now is looking for the community to help "ensure we can reach beta launch with the features and quality that are crucial for success.” Through this land sale, they’d like to raise funds for beta development and marketing, and should the beta turn out to be a success, they state that holders will be “sustainably rewarded with $USDT & $CHMB as the Chumbi Valley playerbase grows and thrives.”

While Chumbi Valley represents the core RPG players will enjoy in this ecosystem, the developers would like to extend their flagship title and kick off their own metaverse by adding a nostalgic web3 MMORPG experience called Chumbi Lands. In that experience, players will be able to use the Land Plot NFTs they own in various ways. Specifically, owning the pre-sale genesis land will get you a second farm that is much larger than the one in the main game. You will get to collect exclusive new resources, customize your house, terraform property, hatch Chumbi Pods faster, invite friends to hang out, and even earn passive income by allowing other players to mine exclusive new resources on your plot, collecting fees in the process. Owners will also be able to create and host their own mini games such as cooking challenges, parkour courses, and more.

Dojo NFTs represent training grounds you can build on your land and use to automatically train and improve your Chumbi while enabling idle gameplay. This structure will allow your Chumbi to auto-fight and defend against other players who challenge your dojo, providing the opportunity to utilize “AFK-to-Earn" gaming by setting up wagers, fees, and rewards to further incentivize more players to try and attack your dojo.
