Developer Sphere Studios is starting a free mint of the Travelers collection very soon for their post-apocalyptic RPG, ChronoWorlds.

Here’s All the Details for This Free Mint

The Travelers collection comes with a very limited supply of 2250, but only 1566 can actually be minted today by eligible participants, because 250 of the total supply is reserved for treasury, while 434 will be airdropped to Gen0 holders, that is, holders of the old Travelers collection.

The studio has teamed up with Magic Eden to host the minting on their NFT marketplace using the Ethereum network. Divided into three phases, the ChronoList, Waitlist and Public phase, anyone who has been whitelisted for the first phase can mint one asset for free starting from July 3rd, 11 AM EST until 1 PM EST the same day. After that comes the Waitlist phase at 1 PM EST, which seems to last until 3 PM EST or until all NFTs are sold out. While the ChronoList seems to give users a guaranteed mint, the Waitlist does not but is instead done on a first come, first serve basis, even though it seems you had to get qualified for that one as well in order to participate. The community had a chance to get in on one of the first two phases by doing social media-based engagement tasks through Alphabot in the game’s official Discord server. You might still be able to get a Waitlist role depending on when you read this. Users can use the wallet checker linked in this tweet to ensure eligibility.

In the event that there are still somehow any NFTs up for grabs after the Waitlist is over, you can then try snatching one for yourself in the Public phase starting from 3 PM EST. In any case, be ready to pay up for high gas fees that typically come with Ethereum mints. For this free mint, only 1 NFT can be minted per wallet.

What’s The Utility?

The new Travelers NFT collection is a core part of the ChronosWorlds ecosystem. As such, holding a Travelers NFT will give you access to the upcoming $SPHR airdrop while acting as a dynamic PFP with in-game playable characters matching the appearance of the asset you own. Holders will also get access to fun secret easter eggs, and various other benefits that the studio will reveal over time.

What Is ChronosWorlds?

ChronosWorlds is a 2.5D action RPG platformer described by the developers as being similar to Terraria and Super Smash Bros. The goal is to build your own village into an empire as you explore and platform your way through AI-generated post-apocalyptic worlds with PvE dungeons while engaging in real-time action-packed combat. To do this, you will get to unlock various buildings and upgrades as you progress through the Web3 title, upgrading your character’s attributes and equipping new weapons suited to your playstyle. Players will have a wide array of cosmetic and gameplay-based customization options while looting various usable items such as potions and traps, but also materials used to craft items like grenades and armor.

Throughout the play-and-earn PvE gameplay, players can build out a loadout focused on melee or ranged combat, as well as on magic and elemental-focused damage and more, and depending on the battle ahead, you may want to appropriately switch things up from time to time for a better chance at beating one of the varied challenging bosses up ahead. Items will be tradable and there will also be an in-game currency called Dark Aether said to be used for gaining various rewards while topping the weekly leaderboards.

You can try out an early version of what will be an Avalanche-powered title through their partner’s launcher, Elixir Games. Next to Windows and Mac, the game will eventually launch on Android and iOS. On the game's website, you can sign up with your email address to likely get an “Atemporal MiniKit” on official launch if not earlier. By downloading the game on Elixir’s launcher, one of the game modes you can now play is a minigame called Only Up. As the name implies, the goal is to climb up your way upwards across a variety of different worlds full of traps, enemies and puzzles to overcome, with a final boss awaiting at the end of each world.
