BPMG and Grampus Sign Joint IP Agreement for Cooking Adventure
BPMG has officially secured joint ownership of the global IP for Cooking Adventure through a partnership agreement with original developer Grampus. Under the deal, BPMG will take over game development, live service operations, and global business activities for the title. Grampus remains a co-owner of the IP and will act as a strategic partner going forward.
Cooking Adventure is a casual restaurant management game in which players run a variety of kitchens, prepare dishes from different cuisines, and keep customers satisfied to grow their culinary empire. The title has accumulated over 33 million downloads since its launch in 2016 and has sustained an active player base through continuous content updates for more than eight years. In South Korea, it is widely recognized under the alternate title My Little Chef.
The acquisition gives BPMG control over a proven casual mobile IP with a large international user base, a significant step for the company as it looks to deepen the content catalog on its GemHUB ecosystem.
Web3 Version, HTML5, and Steam All in Development
BPMG has confirmed three development tracks for Cooking Adventure following the IP acquisition. A Web3-integrated version of the game is planned, built on the GemHUB blockchain gaming infrastructure and powered by the platform's GHUB utility token. The onchain version is intended to accelerate the expansion of the GemHUB ecosystem with a title that already has a tested global audience.
In parallel, the company is developing an HTML5 version of the game, allowing players to access it directly through a web browser without installation. This approach is consistent with BPMG's strategy for other titles in its portfolio, including Dragon Flight Classic, which received a browser-based release on SK Planet's OK Cashback and Viva Republica's Toss platforms. A Steam release is also planned to extend the game's reach on the global PC market.
As part of the agreement, the full development and operations team behind Cooking Adventure will transition to BPMG. The company stated this move is designed to maintain the gameplay experience familiar to existing players while enabling consistent content updates and improved service quality going forward.
A Quote from the Announcement
"This is a significant milestone as we have secured both a globally proven game IP and a talented development team," the company stated in its official announcement. "Based on this joint IP ownership, we are committed to enriching the content ecosystem within GemHUB and delivering new value to players worldwide."
GemHUB: BPMG's Expanding Blockchain Gaming Ecosystem
For context on what Cooking Adventure is joining, GemHUB is BPMG's flagship blockchain gaming and social platform. Founded in August 2021, the Seoul-based company has raised KRW 7 billion in Series A funding and built a growing network of partnerships with major players across the Web3 space.
GemHUB's social platform Poplus runs a tokenized reward system powered by GHUB tokens, recording every user interaction on the blockchain to ensure transparent tracking of engagement. The platform has integrated its reward system into existing onchain titles including Fortress, Dragon Flight, and Rappelz M.
BPMG has partnered with Gala Lab to lead blockchain expansion in the Japanese market, with a planned entry in the second half of 2025, as part of a broader international growth strategy. The company has also forged infrastructure partnerships with Sony Group's Soneium Layer 2 blockchain, LINE NEXT's Mini Dapp Portal, and the Tendermint-based Layer 1 chain XPLA.
Dragon Flight's Web3 version introduces an economy built around the already-listed GHUB token, allowing players to earn through gameplay, competitive leagues, and ad-based missions. Cooking Adventure is set to follow a similar integration model once its Web3 build is complete.
About Cooking Adventure and Its Longevity
Launched in 2016, Cooking Adventure is one of the longer-running casual mobile titles still receiving regular updates. With the majority of its 33 million player base concentrated in international markets outside Korea, the game represents an established global IP rather than a niche regional title.
The genre, cooking simulation, has proven consistently popular on mobile platforms due to its accessible mechanics and progression loops. Bringing a game with nearly a decade of live service history into a Web3 environment gives BPMG a head start on user retention challenges that often face newer onchain games entering the market without an existing audience.
With the full original development team now operating under BPMG, the company holds both the creative and technical infrastructure needed to execute the transition without disrupting the live game's existing player base.
