Developer Pixelcraft Studios has announced that The Forge feature for Aavegotchi is planned to officially go live on Wednesday, February 22nd.
This comes after the last proposal, AGIP 61, suggested the launch of The Forge. Since the voting ended in a resounding yes, the AavegotchiDAO is now ready to push their new feature to the protocol for release.
Once this feature launches, Aavegotchi Wearables will become deflationary, as it will be possible for users to deconstruct them into their base components while creating new Wearables in the process.
The Forge consists of two main functions: Smelting and Forging. Smelting is about turning an Aavegotchi Wearable into its base components. These components could include Alloy, Schematics, Cores and Essence. Using the Forging function, players can then make use of the base components they have to make new Wearables. According to the official announcement post, by introducing these functions with The Forge, the team avoids causing Wearable inflation while still being able to allow the creation of new Wearables.
With that said, this launch will coincide with the introduction of 5 new Wearable sets, which will be possible to get by forging them. They’re called the Pixelcraftor, the Buildor, the Smithor, the FAKE Artist and the Grandmaster Creator. You can check out what they look like and find out some more useful details in the official article here.
